Kobato - こばと

First thing I noticed about this series was the manga studio,"Clamp" as the creators. Apart from their most notable series like Cardcaptor Sakura and xxxHolic, I was expecting another art/character design like Syaoran and Sakura. Fortunately, I was mistaken! (means its a good thing)

For those who haven't heard, read about it, or just thought it was another shoujo anime, here's a small summary;

• Hanato Kobato is a sweet and perky girl, but extremely naïve about the world. She has a mission to fill a mysterious bottle with the suffering from people's hearts so her wish to go a certain place can be granted. However, she must not fall in love with a particular boy she works with and whose heart she must heal….
  

Pretty good work on the character design despite the work given to "Needless" designer, Kato Hiromi... JUDGEMENT!

The OP is by Sakamoto Maaya, a personal favourite as she has previously done a song for Clamp in the past (Cardcaptor OP3). A soothing song to boot!

Much of the BG art looks like Honey&Clover... but who cares? Haha

They have some gag in it as well. Pretty hilarious at times. LOL

Looks like a Sakura to me, no matter how time I look at her. Maybe this is another "parallel dimension"...

So the 1st test is : How to dispose of rubbish?

1. Look for a rubbish dump.

2. Carefully consider other options to responsibly dispose of rubbish and...

3. Execute the best eco-friendly option!

Caution: Please be wary of animals when feeding them leftovers...lol

So if Syaoran were to grow up, he would look something like this. Not bad...looks like the dad though...

Haha. Unbelievably CUTE~! Even tossing a ball is moe...

I've also learned a few culture tips such as;
How to prepare nabe(hotpot) the right way!

1. ADD EVERYTHING IN, EVEN THOUGH THE WATER HASN'T BOIL YET

2. PUT LOTS MEAT DESPITE THE WRONG TIMING

3. POUR PLENTLY OF MILK TO KEEP ELDERLY BONES STRONG

4. NEVER FORGET CHOCOLATE! EVERYONE LOVES CHOCOLATE!

5. FOR SMOOTHER SKIN, ADD NATTO TO ENHANCE THE FLAVOUR TOO

And Voila! One hotpot from Hell, "The Last Pot"!

BEST SERVED WITH MANY ONLOOKERS DURING COOKING PROCESS

But turned out to be quite good, so they say...

Kobato is not good with kids...

But one hell of a singer... As expected from Hanazawa Kana.


Then from comedy series to idol series! Haha


Despite her best efforts, she didn't past the test to gain the flask..


But got 100% in the end, thanks to the oba-san for her gratitude...


And gained the flask to collect broken hearts! Finally the story begins!


But we may be changing the series title to "Dobato"...


Or maybe to "Dabada"~!


Err...it might be abit small to see but its Hanazawa Kana for the insert song...for those who FORGOT, it's Nadeko from Bakemonogatari!


And Nakajima Megumi! for the ED (Ranka Lee, Macross F)
