OKAY! That's enough mourning! Now moving onto more recent events!

I was disappointed when the final chapter was issued for Rave, missing all those sword-combos and rave stones along with the cool storyline. But, there's a new drug in town people! For you dyslexic and illiterate otakus, rejoice for the adaptation of the overnight sensation manga, Fairy Tail ~!

For the manga, I harbor special feelings towards it (thus, making this post biased. sry) Ever since MMORPG came to existence, I've always chosen the mage/sorcerer (or speed-based) character. Not because of the cool clothing and joining a guild, but also adrenaline when casting the great massacre spells! Muahahaha.. (sry, out of topic there)

Anyways, lets move onto a short summary of this anime;

  Lucy is a 17-year-old girl, who wants to be a full-fledged mage. One day when visiting Harujion Town, she meets Natsu, a young man who gets sick easily by any type of transportation. But Natsu isnt just any ordinary kid, he's the legendary "Salamander" and a member of one of the world's most infamous mage guilds: Fairy Tail. Together, they unravel the mysteries of magic in this "fairy tale" wonderland.

So lets take a look at episode 1~!

Good art here, considering the near resemblance of the manga and Rave...

Natsu is just an appetizer for me.

Every time Happy opens it's mouth, I think of Shana for some reason...why Kugumiya Rie of all people? =.="

Oh god... If Endless Eight didn't have enough of her voice, you'll have plenty to hear her again as Hirano Aya is casted for Lucy

Face it. We love celebrities. Or else you wouldn't still be watching a "Hirano-casted-show"...

Kyun Kyun~! Hard to say why our heart sounds like that...

"Salamander, meet my friends, Happy and Salaman.....EH?"

The power of fans... In a way, I'm proud, yet scared...

Shouldn't it be the other way?

After awhile, Kugimiya-san voice will get to you... Happy should have a lower toned voice.

Not too bad as it still accurately follows the manga

Looks like Mashima Hiro wants to keep the characters of Rave alive... haha

A gravure magazine! Wait...is Lucy into yuri?

Another voice casting mistake here. Natsu should have a more childish voice... Simon is just too serious...

The Stellar Spirit, Aquarius. I like the concept of star constellations as spirits here.

A "You're fucked" look...

Although the casting leaves much to be desired, the battle and magic circle art are the main highlights.
Heck, its a battle anime for cryin out loud, not another Haruhi show!

Magic circles are getting kinda popular these days, huh?

A pretty good adaptation overall, but they may have to do a re-cast...

THANK GOD~! Its not another Haruhi ED... I've had enough of "Tomare" and "Hare Hare Yukai"...
