AFA 2011 Report [Day 2: The Masses Amassed]

by 01:23
It was Day 2 of Anime Festival Asia 2011 at Suntec City Convention Centre, and I'm stuck with a broken shoe, concert-hangover, and an unsatisfactory breakfast.

But truthfully, never felt better.

Fate/Zero Ita-bus at Machi ★ Asobi

by 23:39
Awaiting to ferry people all over Tokushima is the one of a kind Fate/Zero ita-bus.

This ita-bus was made for the currently on-going event "Machi ★ Asobi" by anime production studio, ufotable, whom is also the studio behind the Fate prequel. The bus is fully covered with masters and their servants, along with a deformed version of the cast in a festival-themed background. Some of the interior are similar to the Fate/Zero tapestries draped at the Tokushima airport in my previous coverage of that.

This photo coverage includes the exterior, interior and the process of making the ita-bus.
Enjoy them, after the break.

Fate/Zero Tokushima Awa Odori Festival Tapestires

by 23:01
Spotted at Tokushima airport, these beautiful tapestries were draped to welcome visitors, while signalling the approaching and inevitable 4th Holy Grail War, due to begin this October 2011.

While we're on topic, I'd like to elaborate a little on the following characters in Fate/Zero, specifically on the Servants. As a history faggot, I find the concept of incorporating "Heroes of the Past" into celestial summoning to battle amongst themselves for dominance of the sacred Sangreal (Holy Grail) the epitome of my wildest fantasies realized in animation form.

Thus, its only just if I "spoil" a few details about the Servants, and their "True Name", the hero associated to their respective class. Of course, you could read this all up in the Type Moon Wikia thats available for all to view and edit, but my hands are itchy to write a condensed version (and I'm procastinating from my assignment deadline), so why not.

濡れるツ~!Post

by 15:51
The latest meme to circulate BBs and forums has come in the form of "wetting thy self" in literal translation.
However odd it may seem, other translation options could not properly convey the feelings felt at that moment.

Took a look at my schedule and I won't be around for the last 2 weeks of September due to academic reasons (yea, exams. bummer >_>). I'll post all I can for now in this and the following posts to come during my short but well-deserved break.

Wonder Festival 2010 Summer (夏) Highlights

by 02:32
Even though I'm 5,317 km away from the world's second largest economy, with social networking sites, blogs and a little help from my ISP, I feel like I'm already at Wonfes.

I love the Internet. xD

It's 25/7/2010, D-Day, where hordes of fanatic, mindless devotees launch a massive wave-by-wave assault on Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall, with dealers barely holding them off at the defense line.

Scout reports are filling up social networking sites, with the closing of the festival (17:00 GMT +9)

Time to skim through the assassination target list, and narrow down our focus onto the highlights of the event.

Figures Ordered (Q2 - 2010)

by 17:00

I practically forgot about this post. Intended to make a quarterly post, instead of some blog highlighting what they pre-ordered the second the deposit has been paid. It's more effeciant and collective this way (and saves me from posting everytime due to my lazy attribute)

We're barely entered May and I've already PO-ed some goodies which, I might add, are irresistible. Perhaps I'll post what I've ordered for Q1 instead as a summary. But whatever.

Been money managing my purchases, comparing a "must-get" to "have-to-get" buying impulses. Quite difficult as evil manufactures like GSC and MaxF continue to churn out hordes of irresistibly-cute figures any die-hard fan would love to acquire.

Nonetheless, we still fall prey and victim to their marketing strategies, continuously pounding the shit out of Mr. Wallet and his loyal men of bills and coins. So far, it has been a lopped, one-sided battle on my part as GSC, particularly, keeps sending out more enemies than I can keep up with Mr. Wallet and his disappearing merry men.
